Today I volition supersede failed keyboard on Acer Aspire 5733 laptop.

I this guide I'm working with Acer Aspire 5733-6650 model.

Earlier you stat the disassembly process, brand sure the computer is turned off and battery removed.

STEP ane.

The keyboard is secured by half dozen spring loaded latches on the top.

Carefully push the left latch into the case with a screwdriver.

At the same time elevator upwards the left side of the keyboard a niggling bit.

When it's lifted up, it will not permit the latch to go dorsum into the locked position.

Practice the same with the remaining five latches.

Step 2.

Later on all vi latches released, lift up the summit side of the keyboard and turn it upside down on the palmrest.

Step 3.

At present yous can access the cable which is connected to the motherboard.

Y'all can remove the cable only afterward the connector is unlocked.

STEP four.

On the following picture the connector shown in the locked position.

In order to unlock the connector, you'll have to slide the brown tab virtually 2-iii millimeters towards the touchpad.

The chocolate-brown tab must stay attached to the connector. Practice not use to much forcefulness while moving the tab. Work very gently.
